The Supper Club (in East Ventura County) took flight from the vision of the Division B Governor, Paula Coe.
She was inspired by the idea of a Toastmasters Club that would further challenge the learning curve for Toastmasters members and provide a more social environment to entice those not quite as dedicated, such as spouses, family members, and friends of Toastmasters members.
“Simispeak” was originally chartered in January 1986 and changed to “Simispeaks Professionals” in 1988. But this company club was faltering with the impending close of the hosting Simi Valley company.
Paula, along with others inspired by her ideal, saved the “Simispeaks Professionals” Toastmasters Club Charter in the fall of 2001, revitalizing and re-inventing the club to making it the club it is today.

Toastmasters is a place where you develop and grow - both personally and professionally. You join a community of learners, and in Toastmasters meetings we learn by doing. Whether you're an executive or a stay-at-home parent, a college student, or a retiree, you will improve yourself; building skills to express yourself in a variety of situations. You'll open up a world of new possibilities: giving better work presentations; leading meetings - and participating in them - more confidently; speaking more smoothly off the cuff; even handling one-on-one interactions with family, friends, and colleagues more positively.
